James and Janet Ward wanted a home builder they could trust. After looking at nearly all of them, they chose Tilson. "On our lot, we trusted Tilson because we got everything we wanted for the price we wanted to pay," said James.

Tommy and Gena Offill had plenty of builders to choose from, but Tilson was their clear-cut choice. "We talked to about ten contractors and nobody could match Tilson," Tommy said. "No other contractor even came close to making us feel as comfortable as Tilson did."

John and Kathleen Bievenour chose Tilson to build a unique 2,400 sq. foot home near Sadler, TX. "They did everything possible to accommodate us. They reworked their floor plans to give us features that didn't ordinarily come with the plan we chose. But they told us it wouldn't be a problem," said Kathleen.

Kenneth and Betty Mullins's home in Weatherford is their second home built by Tilson. Their first home was near Houston. "It was an answer to a prayer when we saw that Tilson sign off the freeway. When we saw that we could turn to Tilson again, a wave of confidence came over us. We knew we'd be in good hands," said Betty.

William and Jane Beverage had a challenging lot. Only Tilson could take on the task of building a great home that met their needs. “People like the openness and the floor of this house,” Jane said. “I like the big windows with all the natural light.”

Because Tilson always delivers on the homes they build, George and Dorothy Blair keep coming back. George said, “They were so easy to work with. They never argued with you. They try to please the customer, we like that.”

After talking with other builders and seeing Tilson homes online, the Brewers realized that Tilson offered more selection than the others. “A lot of other builders didn’t offer as many upgrades to their houses that Tilson did,” Kathy said.

To build their new Montessori pre-school, Carmel Zea turned to an unlikely builder, Tilson. “We went with Tilson because of the cost — and that our friends had a beautiful Tilson house that they loved. We trusted them because of their good reputation,” Carmel said.

Ray and Kimmie Chandler needed a home that would fit on their long, narrow piece of land. “Tilson showed they could do more than the others. Tilson had the floor plan we wanted for the right price and had a good reputation for quality,” Ray said.

Craig Utsman enjoyed working with Tilson as they built his home from start to finish. “The Tilson sales people were warm and welcoming, they weren’t pushy,” Craig said. During construction, he commented, “The Tilson construction manager was wonderful to work with.”

Curtis and Miia Clay wanted to build their dream home through a company with a good reputation. “We were first-time home buyers and we went with Tilson,” Curtis said. “We went with the best.”

Don and Sylvia Horton have enjoyed building their homes with Tilson. Tilson listened to their needs and built a great home. “We tell people that Tilson does a good job. And we would not have gone with Tilson again if we didn’t trust Tilson,” said Don.

The Pospisils found that most home builders had too many strict rules and could not build their dream home. Luckily, they found Tilson. “We found that Tilson was the only home builder that would move some walls to meet our needs,” Earnest said. “Tilson was flexible.”

The Hubbards chose Tilson because of their flexibility and service. “Tilson has the value and they have a good reputation,” Billy said. “Other builders just kept trying to push their floor plan on us but Tilson was able to give us what we wanted at our price.

Loa Belden’s dream of living near family was fulfilled by Tilson. “Tilson could build the house I wanted on my land. Plus, I’ve seen the Tilson name my entire life so I knew it was a stable company I could trust,” said Loa.

The Vlieger family built their retirement home with Tilson because of longevity. “I thought about going with an independent builder, but this is the house I’m going to retire in, so if there was a problem 10 years from now I wanted the company to still be around,” said Mike.

Greg and Faith Pope love the various custom features that are offered through Tilson homes. “We didn’t want a cookie-cutter house,” Greg said. “We just wanted something unique. It was really fun to pick out the design of our house and the custom features.”

Russ and Mary Graham rave about the great value that Tilson provided in their home. “There is good workmanship throughout the house,” said Mary. In addition, Russ says, “We got a lot of house for our money.”

Chris and Holly Stevenson looked for variety and value. They found these with Tilson. "When we saw that Tilson offered the widest variety of floor plans and the best cost per square foot, we decided to go with them," said Chris.

Sam and Bea Aldrich shopped around for a home builder and ended up sticking with the company that built their previous house: Tilson. “We chose Tilson because we already knew they could do a good job and because we would know exactly what the house would cost,” Sam said.

Tilson solved the Armstrong family’s problems. Their blended family needed a large, custom home. Shannon said, “We couldn’t find a house that met all of our needs until we went to Tilson. We found we could custom build this house cheaper than finding a pre-built house that met our needs.”

Sharon Johnson needed a builder who could build her dream house on her land. She chose Tilson to build her home to her every requirement. Tilson delivered and Sharon is very satisfied. “I love my house,” Sharon said.

The Chamblees picked Tilson because of their strong reputation. They were also impressed by Tilson’s floor plans. “I went through the Tilson floor plans online and just fell in love with this [home],” Shelle said. “The other builders didn’t have that kind of selection.”

After spending a year shopping for a custom-home builder, Curtis and Catherine Wonderly chose Tilson because they had a high rate of customer satisfaction. “The reputation of Tilson is the best,” Curtis said. “I love my house. I’m very satisfied with Tilson.”

Bobby and Janice Bass decided it all came down to trust when selecting a built on your lot builder. "We trusted Tilson because they've been building in Texas for over 70 years and we appreciated the choices and flexibility they gave us," said Bobby.

Scott and Velma Benson built a new Tilson home - 30 years ago! "If anybody ever wanted us to recommend a homebuilder, we'd recommend Tilson. Our home is more than 30 years old, but it really doesn't look more than 10 years old. That shows that the quality of their materials and their construction work can't be beat," said Scott, a retired school supervisor.

If anyone knows the finer points of quality construction it's Jim and Ellen Box. "As former president of the Greater Houston Builders Association and a member of its board for 25 years, I know Tilson well. I always felt comfortable working with Tilson in the builders association, and I certainly felt comfortable working with them as their customer," Jim said.

One of the things Eric and Karen Hall liked about Tilson was their accurate price quote right upfront. "I learned I could pick a model, call their office and ask what it would cost to build in my county, and they were able to give me an exact figure, and assured me they would stick to it. That's when they really gained my trust," said Karen.

For Todd and Vicki Nelson, Tilson's reputation of trust and caring proved itself throughout the entire process. "The construction superintendent did everything he could to maintain our trust. We came out every week to look things over, and everything was always in order," said Vicki, a schoolteacher in Garwood, TX.

Michael and Deborah Earley are a busy couple and wanted a builder they could trust and afford.
